Can I revoke my booking request?

If you've submitted a booking request and the host hasn't responded to it yet, you can simply withdraw the request. The 24-hour/7-day* free cancellation period only starts once a booking has been approved by the host. We ask hosts to respond to a request as quickly as possible, so you know whether your booking can go ahead. As long as the host hasn't responded to your booking request, you can still withdraw it. Only once the host has approved the booking request is the booking final, creating an agreement in which you and the host enter into the payment obligation and other terms.

You can find out how to cancel with a guest account here.

*The host of the property you book uses one of two cancellation policies for free cancellation. You can see which policy applies in the property listing and during booking. These are the cancellation policies:

  • Free cancellation within 24 hours: You can cancel your booking free of charge within 24 hours after the booking is approved. You're then entitled to a full refund of the rental amount and the deposit (if applicable).

  • Free cancellation within 7 days: You can cancel your booking free of charge within 7 days after the booking is approved. You're then entitled to a full refund of the rental amount and the deposit (if applicable). This 7-day period only applies when the arrival date, at the time of booking, is more than 28 days in the future. If the arrival date is within 28 days at the time of booking, you can cancel free of charge within 24 hours after approval.

For the standard cancellation policy, please refer to this page.
